Job summary

Imperial College London’s Department of Computing is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, build and operate software for teaching, learning and assessment within the EdTech team. You will work closely with staff and students to understand needs, develop features, deploy, and maintain reliable systems using modern practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern software development practices and ability to learn new technologies.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks such as FastAPI and React.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate software that supports teaching, learning and assessment across the Department.
• Maintain and continuously improve production systems, collaborating with colleagues and students to deliver reliable solutions.
