Heliyon, an all-science, open access journal published by Elsevier, is seeking an Editorial Process Manager to coordinate manuscript flow from submission to publication within a global, collaborative team.

Reporting to a Deputy Editorial Team Leader, you will support editors and authors to uphold quality and integrity, handle tasks efficiently, and adapt to evolving workflows in a fast-paced publishing environment in London with hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life, medical, social or physical sciences.
• Enthusiastic proactive attitude with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to change, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills within an international team.
• Ability to work collaboratively or independently without continuous supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Assess newly submitted manuscripts for ethical, scientific compliance and completeness.
• Review to-be-accepted manuscripts for adherence to publishing and ethical standards.
• Spot-check the performance of external editors and provide structured feedback.
• Support technical queries from external editors.
• Contribute to chasing pending tasks and backlog management.
• Assist in the editorial process as required as the journal evolves.
