Job summary

MSV Post, the post production arm of the Tinopolis group, based in London, is seeking a self-motivated Edit Assistant/Junior Engineer with post‑production experience to join a friendly, collaborative team.

You will handle media ingest, offline project builds, sync maps, prep for online, final deliverables, archiving and, occasionally, hands-on engineering tasks. A familiarity with Avid workflows and strong communication are essential; some weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Post Production environment.
• Proficient with Avid Media Composer.
• Experience with Avid AMA tapeless workflows.
• Expert knowledge of file formats, compression & conversion.
• Experience of remote workflows.
• Knowledge of Content Agent/Interplay is an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of broadcast specs and post production practices.
• Junior editor experience is beneficial.
• Experience of networks/PC hardware and general Post Production systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring a high level of service and accurate deliverables to clients.
• Working closely with the Bookings Department to provide technical support.
• Devising workflow and initiating projects.
• General assistant duties: Nexis management, exports, backups and ingest of file-based camera rushes, relink, conform and Online Prep.
• Creating viewing files and other final deliverables.
• Supervise broadcast deliverables, including file delivery (AS11, IMF), QC and QAR reports.
