Junior-level Technical Support Engineer (Post-Production)

Splice Greater London, England, United Kingdom

Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time

Location: East London (on-site)

Splice is an independent, award-winning post-production company with multiple facilities across Shoreditch and Old Street. We love what we do, and we think it shows. Our passionate and talented team brings creativity and technical excellence to every project they touch whilst making sure they are always well looked after along the way.

Responsibilities

• Handle IT and administrative tasks required to keep staff and clients efficiently working.
• Speak to clients and collaborate with all departments to troubleshoot issues.
• Travel between buildings and locations on demand to attend to issues.
• Work with enterprise hardware, software, and cloud-based services.
• Gain knowledge of Post Production technologies first hand at a leading London Post Production Facility.

Whatever the issue, you won’t be alone, and will be guided by our experienced Engineering Team.

Qualifications

• Quickly grasp technical concepts and solutions; provide internal and external support.
• Comfortable with a command line environment.
• Basic understanding of IP networking.
• Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Team player willing to collaborate and follow direction from the current team.

Advantageous

• Familiarity with a command line environment.
• Experience installing operating systems.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems.
• Understanding basics of IP networking.
• Experience with computer hardware.
• Amicable and happy to assist people with limited technical knowledge.
