Job summary

IG Group seeks a Senior Platform Engineer with deep Akamai expertise to own IG's edge delivery estate and move configurations from manual controls into code. You will build Terraform modules, versioned rule trees, and GitLab pipelines with automated checks to empower teams while reducing manual effort.

You will lead the migration of Akamai settings, develop self-service paths for edge changes, and integrate with ServiceNow/change control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in CDN and edge delivery engineering.
• Hands-on Akamai expertise with Property Manager (Control Center) and PAPI.
• Infrastructure-as-code mindset using Terraform.
• GitLab CI/CD pipelines and scripting in Python or Bash.
• Experience with edge DNS, routing, and certificate management.

Responsibilities

• Automate IG's edge estate and enable self-service for edge changes.
• Migrate Akamai configuration to Terraform-first workflows with reusable modules.
• Build self-service paths for routine edge changes with policy checks and tests.
• Integrate edge configuration into GitLab CI/CD and change control workflows.
• Own design and operations of IG's Akamai estate across staging and production.
• Configure redirects, routing, origin behavior, and caching strategies.
• Manage edge security controls and certificate lifecycle.
