Job description

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a Pastoral Support Tutor to join our Adult Learning for Independence and Employment (ALFIE) Department. The role involves working across Berkshire College of Agriculture and Slough & Langley Colleges on a term-time only, 1-year fixed-term maternity cover from August 2025 to July 2026.

Role Overview

This part-time position requires working for 39 weeks per year. The primary responsibilities include providing support to students through information, advice, guidance, and pastoral care. The tutor will lead group activities, offer one-to-one coaching, and collaborate to improve student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting students with academic and financial welfare issues.
  2. Leading personal development activities and tutorials.
  3. Monitoring student performance and conduct through regular meetings.
  4. Acting as liaison with staff to address retention, achievement, attendance, and behaviour issues.
  5. Developing and implementing individual learning plans.
  6. Participating in college-wide activities and safeguarding duties.
