Job Summary:

About the Role & Team

Under the oversight of the Dry Dock Interiors Manager, you will manage the execution of the approved dry dock scope of work for fleet interiors maintenance (sustainment) projects during the dry-docking period.

You will join a dynamic team responsible for maintaining high standards of our fleet's interiors, collaborating closely with departments such as hotel operations, marine and technical operations, and environmental compliance to ensure seamless project execution. We emphasize safety, quality, and innovation, continuously seeking new ideas to enhance operations.

This role is based in Disney Cruise Line's London Hammersmith office and involves approximately 3 months of global travel per year, including full presence during dry dock periods.

What You Will Do
  1. Develop, plan, and execute interiors maintenance projects during dry-docking.
  2. Write detailed scopes of work and technical specifications for interiors maintenance projects.
  3. Provide documentation, including technical specifications for scope delivery.
  4. Produce technical product specifications, consulting with external bodies for regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
  5. Evaluate vendor proposals, providing detailed breakdowns and recommendations to senior leadership.
  6. Research new ideas, products, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
  7. Ensure all relevant documentation is updated within the project and maintenance management system (AMOS).
  8. Coordinate with key operational partners for dry dock interior work planning.
  9. Partner with shipyard, Walt Disney Imagineering, contracted vendors, and regulatory bodies for scope delivery.
  10. Manage consulting team members assigned to project areas.
  11. Act as the primary contact for shipboard leadership regarding dry dock interior maintenance.
  12. Gather feedback from ship's leadership on project delivery and support needs.
  13. Coordinate with shipboard senior management for technical support, labor, scope, and warranty issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  1. Higher education in Maritime Engineering, Design, Project or Facilities Management, or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience in the maritime industry, especially with passenger vessels.
  3. Project management experience, preferably with formal qualifications.
  4. Experience managing budgets.
  5. Dry dock experience preferred.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
  8. Proficiency with project management tools.
  9. Knowledge of regulatory standards for cruise ship interiors.
  10. Willingness to travel and work on-site during dry-docks.
