Our team collaborates closely with departments such as hotel operations, marine and technical operations, and environmental compliance to ensure seamless project execution. We pride ourselves on safety, quality, and innovation, continuously seeking new ideas and solutions to enhance our operations.

As a key team member, you will work with industry-leading professionals and contribute to the success of our dry dock projects.

This role is based in Disney Cruise Line’s London Hammersmith office and requires approximately 3 months of global travel per year, including full presence during dry dock periods.

What You Will Do

  2. Write detailed scopes of work and technical specifications for interiors maintenance projects.
  3. Provide appropriate documentation, including technical specifications for approved scope delivery.

  9. Partner with shipyard, Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), contracted vendors, and external regulatory bodies for approved scope delivery.
  10. Manage additional consulting team members tasked with specific project areas.
  11. Act as the primary point of contact for shipboard leadership regarding dry dock interior maintenance work during the dry-docking period.
  12. Liaise with ship's leadership for feedback on project delivery and ongoing support requirements.
  13. Coordinate with shipboard senior management for technical support, including additional labor, scope coordination, and warranty support.
  14. Work with DCL purchasing and internal partners for owner-supplied equipment and materials.
  15. Negotiate contract selection to balance quality and cost considerations.
  16. Manage project material and labor costs to ensure projects stay within budget and are completed on time.
  17. Oversee quality assurance throughout all phases—from design to installation to completion—and provide performance feedback.
  18. Verify all technical safety implications are considered.
  19. Ensure vendor safety standards and project outcomes meet Disney’s quality and safety requirements.
  20. Provide regular updates and reports on designated projects.
  21. Supervise subcontractors onboard, coordinating with shipboard leadership on technical and safety matters.
  22. Ensure subcontractors provide safety certifications, fitted drawings, and manuals where appropriate.
  23. Uphold safety management responsibilities as part of Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Required Qualifications & Skills

  2. Solid maritime industry experience, especially with passenger vessels.
  3. Project management experience, preferably with formal qualifications.
  4. Experience with budgeting and financial responsibilities.
  5. Dry dock experience preferred.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
  8. Proficiency with project management software and tools.
