About The Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer specialising in new product development, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless transition of new products from concept to full-scale production. You will work at the intersection of engineering, project management, and quality assurance to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness in our product development lifecycle. Collaborating closely with design, operations, and supplier teams, you will implement best practices, optimise processes, and ensure all products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and commercially minded engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

This is a hybrid role and can be based near one of our European locations in Bar Hill, UK, or Hamburg, Germany. The position requires regular travel to our main offices to ensure effective collaboration and operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead new product development activities supporting successful delivery of assigned projects.
  2. Collaborate with design, product, and operations teams to drive project completion.
  3. Collaborate with production and supplier teams to implement best practice assembly and test processes.
  4. Take responsibility for ensuring product cost targets are achieved and ensure customer value is core to operations network development.
  5. Develop and manage delivery of PPAP requirements for new products.
  6. Work closely with suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and components during NPD lifecycle, ensuring assembly, test, and data capture processes are robust.
  7. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to operations deliverables.
  8. Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory standards and company policies.
  9. Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
