Current Opportunities

We are recruiting enthusiastic and conscientious Signalling Principles Designers for our rail Signalling Business across various UK locations including Glasgow, York, Birmingham, and Swindon. We offer flexible location options and hybrid working arrangements, with modern offices and excellent connectivity.

Join us to develop your design skills across all project phases, from feasibility to project close-out. Our projects include major signalling schemes like the Feltham re-signalling programme, utilizing latest technologies, as well as station enhancements, track renewals, and more. Your experience and strengths will be valued, and you'll have opportunities to maximize your potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide design delivery support throughout the project lifecycle, including:
• Preparation of railway signalling designs, specifications, and reports.
• Ensure all deliverables meet company procedures, contractual, and statutory requirements within deadlines.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Mentor and support junior staff.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and departments.

Requirements

• Current IRSE 1.1.550 Signalling Principles Designer Licence (consideration given to lapsed or evidence towards application).
• Experience in mainline signalling design, UK standards, and design processes.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and risk management.
• Proficiency in CAD and signalling design tools (e.g., Bentley MicroStation).
• Preferred: PTS (Personal Track Safety) certificate.
