Overview

This role is part of our Saab Seaeye Business Unit. The Main Assembly Production Team Lead will oversee the assembly of our Remotely Operated Vehicles at our new Trilogy Facility in Fareham. The role involves providing direction, instruction, and guidance to manufacturing teams to ensure operations are conducted safely, within budgets, and to quality standards.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

1. Develop strategies for the team to meet set goals and targets.
2. Provide and monitor training needs for team members.
3. Communicate clear instructions to team members.
4. Listen to feedback and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Manage daily operations flow.
6. Report on team progress and update the company.
7. Distribute reports to relevant personnel.
8. Promote the company's 6S policy, ensure high standards, and instruct the team on safety equipment use and emergency procedures, reporting any incidents.
9. Maintain and improve quality standards, ensuring compliance with regulations.
10. Ensure timely delivery of electrical subassemblies and components to internal and external customers.
11. Use personal judgment and initiative to develop solutions to challenges.
12. Support and mentor team members, fostering skill development and flexibility.

Skills and Experience

1. Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC level or equivalent).
2. Prototype wiring experience.
3. Leadership and coaching experience.
4. HV qualifications – supervisory level.
5. PCB design experience.
