Job description

We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based in Lincoln

Location: Lincoln, with a mix of office/site visits and working from home

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility available, just let us know when you speak to us

In this role, you'll work on the Anglian Water IOS contract (integrated operational solutions) across multiple disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation. Your work will involve new construction, replacement, or repair projects throughout the Anglian Water region.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Project Engineer, you'll ensure water projects in the Norfolk area are managed successfully from inception to completion, meeting all standards, regulations, budget targets, and deadlines. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to add value to the business and support your career growth.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the operational/project delivery manager in executing Anglian Water project needs
  • Assessing solutions, conducting root cause analysis, considering whole life costs and business risk reduction
  • Developing solutions aligned with corporate governance, technical and safety standards, and legal requirements
  • Ensuring all design, programme, cost, and CDM requirements are completed for construction handover
  • Complying with all operational site Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
  • Supporting asset and cost tracking in relevant corporate systems
What are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you have:

  • A degree in engineering or equivalent and experience as a temporary works coordinator
  • Experience in capital delivery within the water sector, especially with directly employed staff
  • Knowledge of Construction Design Management regulations
  • Strong customer management skills and experience working with external stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • A full driving license
