Job Opportunity: ACA Qualified Accountant

Are you an ACA Qualified Accountant currently working in practice and seeking your first move into industry? Or are you already in industry looking for your next challenge? Whether recently qualified or with up to 2 years PQE, you might be interested in joining a large, Top 20, forward-thinking, modern, and entrepreneurial accountancy practice.

This role is based within their successful and growing Internal Finance Team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in developing balance sheet reporting, ensuring monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, and delivering monthly balance sheet reports as part of management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of monthly Group balance sheet reports
2. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
3. Analysis of management accounts
4. Leading the preparation of Group Financial Accounts
5. Assisting with the consolidation of Group Accounts
6. Keeping up to date with relevant financial reporting standards
7. Reviewing Partner drawings before signoff
8. Preparing quarterly summaries of various accounts
9. Performing ad hoc duties as required

You will liaise with various departments and develop transferable skills beneficial for your future career.

Candidate Requirements:

• Fully qualified ACA, recently qualified or with up to 2 years PQE
• Experience in practice (including audit) or industry, ideally from professional services like accountancy or law firms
• Experience with management and statutory accounts, and some audit experience
• Fast, accurate data processing skills, high standards, ability to meet deadlines
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with software packages such as Caseware is advantageous
• A team player with a good sense of humour
