This role focuses on proactively generating new business in the apprenticeship space, especially Leadership and Management programmes. At Hult Ashridge Apprenticeships, we’re passionate about helping organizations unlock their potential through high-quality apprenticeship programmes. As our Business Development Manager, your main responsibility will be to identify, engage, and convert new employer partners to grow apprenticeship starts in line with our strategic objectives.

You’ll work collaboratively with marketing and apprenticeship resourcing teams but will lead on developing new employer partnerships, particularly those leveraging their Apprenticeship Levy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities, including cold outreach, events, networking, and lead conversion.
  • Act as the primary contact for new employer inquiries, maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Meet personal and team sales targets, income goals, and KPIs set by the VP of Business Development.
  • Build consultative relationships with employers across sectors, understanding their goals and training needs.
  • Conduct training needs analyses to identify new apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Guide employers on the use of the Apprenticeship Levy and Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS).
  • Collaborate internally to design apprenticeship solutions aligned with employer needs.
  • Keep CRM systems updated with prospect and client activities for pipeline management.
  • Share insights and market trends with teams to inform new offerings.
  • Support continuous improvement and compliance with ESFA and Ofsted regulations.
About You
  • Proven experience in apprenticeship sales, especially developing new employer partnerships.
  • Success in generating and closing B2B sales deals.
  • Understanding of Apprenticeship Levy regulations and employer funding.
  • Experience promoting Leadership and Management apprenticeships is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your pipeline and targets.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and compliance.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably HubSpot).
