Job description

Our client has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Controller to join them on a contract basis for 12 months. The Manufacturing Controller role involves issue, receipt, and management of stores and inventory in a stores environment, as well as loading, controlling, and monitoring work packages in a manufacturing setting.

Hourly Rate

Between £23.91 - £25.26 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35

Clearance

BPSS clearance required before starting

What You'll Be Doing

• Stock control and storekeeping, including shelf life management.
• Loading manufacturing cells with required jobs according to planned lead and cycle times to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Packing, including use of hand tools, and receiving and issuing tooling.
• Updating computer records.
• Kitting activities.
• Loading and unloading lorries.

Requirements

• Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Use of own initiative.
• Flexibility.
• Manual handling training.
• Slinging and overhead crane training.
• ESD training.
