Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours available.

This role is office based.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Collaborating with a product development team on hardware products and security solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining electronic hardware for custom security products to meet partner needs.
  • Modifying existing designs and working with multidisciplinary teams on new product development.
  • Verifying designs through tests and peer reviews, supporting products, and investigating defects.
  • Contributing to library parts creation, project planning, and meetings.

Training and development

Training and support will be provided, along with a training budget for external courses. You will also have time allocated for innovation and research.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in designing and testing analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Beneficial but not essential qualifications include additional degrees in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, experience with electronic schematic capture, PCB design, RF design, EMC, signal integrity, and knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

  • Support products and investigate defects.
  • Contribute to library parts and project planning.
