Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the chance to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth through challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain technical relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between engineering and service teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do:
  • Train staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Support professional services and sales opportunities.
  • Monitor incident reports and report on accounts.
  • Highlight trends, security threats, and technical bulletins.
  • Manage documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
  • Follow internal and external processes for tasks and reporting.
  • Assist with PoC scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Create and review technical documentation and Statements of Work.
  • Assist in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
  • Participate in customer meetings and reviews.
  • Ensure accurate and timely timesheet submissions.
  • Maintain relevant certifications and training.
  • Complete overtime and expenses accurately.
  • Adhere to GDPR and security policies.
Who you are:

The ideal candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. You should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience in a support environment, with on-premise Cloud Services experience being desirable.

  • VCP 6.x-DCV (Desirable)
  • MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
  • Networking Concepts knowledge
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above
  • Azure MFA and Identity Services
  • Microsoft System Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and above
