Job description

Account Manager (Homeware Supplier)

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £40K

Duties:
  1. Manage the full account lifecycle from start to finish within the supply chain.
  2. Develop additional routes to market across all platforms, targeting both new and existing customers.
  3. Explore new channels with current customers.
  4. Report to the Head of Key Accounts; manage a portfolio of national accounts including high street homeware retailers such as Homebase, Asda, Dusk.com, and The Very Group, as well as online fashion retailers.
  5. Conduct trend, competitor, and retail analysis to support product development.
  6. Collaborate with international teams and factories (China, Vietnam, India, EU) for sourcing and product development, ensuring compliance with customer regulations and cost expectations.
  7. Ensure accurate product setup in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for ERP data conversions and EDI ordering/invoicing.
  8. Work closely with internal teams such as Quality Control, Photography, Marketing, Merchandising, Logistics, and Product Development to ensure process flows align with the critical path.
  9. Utilize historical account data to identify best-selling lines and suggest commercial additions to maximize growth.
  10. Liaise with overseas suppliers.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years experience as an Account Manager in homeware, fashion retail, or wholesale accounts for an online brand.
  • Experience in critical path management.
  • Proven ability to build and develop existing accounts and products.
  • Stock analysis expertise.
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers and managing the full supply chain process.
  • Collaborative experience with Merchandising, QC, Design, and Product Development teams.
