Job Description

Based at St Paul's RC Academy, you will work full time, 37 hours per week for Children and Families Services Technical Services Team. If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, please contact Laura Francis on 01382 436837 or email.

Requirements

You will have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in a technical related subject or be a time served crafts person.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide an efficient technical support service throughout the Children and Families Service.
  2. Support CDT teaching staff to deliver learning and teaching activities.
  3. Ensure the effective use of technical resources and designated staff.
  4. Undertake technician service functions, including repair and maintenance of materials and equipment.
  5. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety Regulations.
The Individual

You will have technical knowledge gained in an education setting or busy work environment. You should have:

  1. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT.
  2. Knowledge of health and safety matters.
  3. Experience in analytical work and problem solving.
  4. Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to manage your own work with minimal supervision.
  5. Willingness to work with pupils in a classroom setting and undertake relevant training.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment by Dundee City Council.
