Requirements

You will have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in a technical related subject or be a time-served crafts person.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide an efficient technical support service throughout the Children and Families Service, supporting CDT teaching staff to deliver learning and teaching activities.
  2. Ensure the effective use of technical resources and designated staff whilst undertaking technician service functions.
  3. Carry out repair and maintenance of materials and equipment.
  4. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety Regulations.
The Individual

You will have technical knowledge gained in an education setting or busy work environment. You should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT. Experience of analytical work/problem solving and knowledge of health and safety matters are essential. Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to manage your own work with remote supervision are required. You should be willing to work with pupils in a classroom setting and be prepared to undertake relevant training.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
