Role Title: Electrician East
Location: Dorset
Salary: £41,056 p.a. plus van, fuel card, uniform, PDA, and call-out allowance
Reed Recruitment is recruiting an Electrician for a reputable Housing Association in the East Dorset region.
Role Purpose
Responsible for providing quality repair, installation, and refurbishment work within the maintenance team. Deliver good fault diagnosis and customer service to meet the business's Key Performance Indicators.
Key Accountabilities
- Undertake electrical repair, maintenance, and installation work in accordance with current I.E.E. wiring regulations, including Part P.
- Perform fault finding on single and three-phase installations.
- Conduct testing and inspection, including Portable Appliance Testing.
- Complete electrical installation certificates and minor works documentation.
- Carry out electrical installation condition reports.
- Replace/showers and install wiring, domestic heating controls, and immersion elements, including draining cylinders.
- Replace or install electrical heating systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work and time taken, complying with company procedures.
- Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer requirements and industry standards.
- Diagnose and repair domestic electrical works, specifying materials and working within training and best practices.
- Work within deadlines and use smartphone technology and PDAs effectively.
- Manage workload independently, ensuring safety for customers and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, including vulnerable adults.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with stakeholders such as customers, planning and administration teams, neighbourhood officers, emergency services, management, contractors, and resources.
- Maintain van stock and record all materials used.
- Update work completion on handheld devices and report additional works.
- Work collaboratively with other trades.
- Complete necessary documentation like timesheets and vehicle checks.
- Participate in emergency out-of-hours services.
- Adhere to health and safety policies, including health & safety mask fitting.
Full valid driving license is required, and the ability to drive a company vehicle is essential.
