Title: Manufacturing Engineer, Mid-Senior
Details:
- Status: Full-Time, Regular Salary, Non-Exempt
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 0900hrs - 1700hrs EST
- Location: On-Site; Aberdeen, MD 21001
- Supervisory: No
Key Roles/Duties:
- Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes and production line layouts using LEAN principles to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Create and maintain SOPs for manufacturing processes, equipment operations, and quality standards.
- Analyze and optimize factory process flow to improve throughput and reduce waste.
- Identify and implement automation solutions to improve process efficiency.
- Maintain manufacturing equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Develop production plans to meet customer demand with minimal downtime.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure product standards.
- Investigate defects and deviations, implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Train staff on safe manufacturing practices and equipment operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product designs into manufacturable solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
- Support cost reduction through process improvements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
- +3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality systems.
- Experience with CAD/CAM.
- Organized record-keeping skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Qualifications:
- Certification such as CMfgE or CET.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar certifications.
- Experience with automation, robotics, or PLC programming.
- +6 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with production support and troubleshooting.
- Experience with ERP systems, simulation tools, and data analysis.
Travel:
- Minimal, less than 10% local travel.
