Field Service Engineer

Position summary

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining professional and profitable repair and preventive maintenance services on Stryker’s products, ensuring compliance with quality systems and manufacturer specifications. The role involves delivering technical assistance at customer sites and providing documentation to internal and external customers.

What you will do

  1. Repair and check electronic/mechanical Stryker products.

  2. Complete annual checks and calibrations according to MDR on customer sites.

  3. Utilize software and technological tools to maintain records and access technical information.

  4. Assist regulatory affairs and customers with product recalls, field safety notices, and field action notices.

  5. Fulfill service contracts with planned maintenance.

  6. Deliver technical training to internal and external stakeholders.

  7. Perform installation of Stryker systems at customer sites.

  8. Perform software and hardware upgrades.

  9. Document service activities thoroughly for internal and external reference.

  10. Ensure traceability of all field-based Stryker products through reporting tools.

  11. Provide technical support to internal and external customers.

  12. Escalate opportunities and issues in team meetings.

  13. Follow up diligently on all customer-initiated issues.

  14. Ensure services are invoiced if not under warranty.

  15. Schedule customer visits in cooperation with customer service.

What you need

  • Degree in engineering, medical electronics, camera technology, or relevant experience in one of the following areas:

  • Electrical, electronic, telecommunications, mechanical, or software engineering.

  • Medical physics or technology subjects.

  • Proficiency in IT tools (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, MFG/Pro, PS3, Outlook).

  • Up to 1 year experience in medical electronics with good mechanical skills.

  • Up to 1 year experience in hospital or healthcare environments.

  • IT experience at an administrative and technical level.

  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers to foster brand loyalty.
