Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional registered nurse to join the Emergency Department as a Clinical Educator at the Royal Derby Hospital. You will lead education and preceptorship within the ED nursing team, coordinating development activities, teaching staff, and supporting safe patient care in a fast-paced environment.

An induction package will be provided.

Qualifications

• Registered nurses with an interest in education and preceptorship.
• Evidence of high standards of practice for safe and professional patient care in ED.
• Experience of teaching and supporting learners at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate new and existing staff in becoming competent practitioners by teaching, supervising and mentoring in the clinical setting.
• Coordinate and deliver development activities, mandatory and specialist clinical training.
• Work within the ED nursing team and with Learning & Education to support education initiatives.
