Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting an ECT Primary Teacher to join welcoming Primary Schools in Sunderland, starting in September. You’ll deliver high-quality lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 and gain experience across year groups, building towards a permanent position.

You’ll develop your classroom practice through Milk Academy, with strong safeguarding processes and ongoing consultant support across the role.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Early Career Teacher (ECT) status or due to achieve QTS.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A passion for inspiring and supporting young learners.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.

• Contribute to the wider school community and school life.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders to support pupil outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and procedures.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
