Duties as ECT Class Teacher:

• Deliver tailored lessons that support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, MLD, SEMH, or PMLD.

• Work closely with experienced support staff, therapists, and senior leaders.

• Adapt and differentiate the curriculum to ensure all pupils make meaningful progress.

• Foster a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.

• Engage in high-quality mentoring and professional development as part of your ECT induction.

Ideal ECT Teacher:

• A committed and reflective teacher holding or working towards QTS.

• A genuine interest in and understanding of SEND education.

• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach.

• High expectations for all learners, with a focus on individual potential as an ECT Teacher.
