Qualifications

Reporting to the MD, based in Cheadle, Cheshire, the E-commerce Manager will be responsible for enhancing the company’s e-commerce strategic plan in collaboration with the Group Market place team. Your strategic insights, combined with hands-on marketplace expertise, will be key in establishing Jumbo Group as a leader in the UK toy and games industry.

Your main functions will include:

  1. Strategic Execution: Own the strategy and execution of programs to drive sales growth across established and new customers.
  2. Leadership: Lead the regional Ecommerce team and assist Omnichannel sales managers with strategic channel plans to increase Revenue and ROI. Collaborate with senior managers and group counterparts to analyze business results and customer insights, translating them into actions and outcomes.
  3. Channel Management: Manage Amazon and pure player accounts, focusing on internal and customer economics to ensure profitable growth and efficiency.
  4. Effective Negotiation: Negotiate mutually beneficial trade and advertising agreements with a win-win approach.
  5. Data-Driven Decision-Making: Use analytics to monitor performance against key metrics such as traffic and conversion rates, understanding the drivers of paid and organic business.
  6. Cross-Market Collaboration: Act as a strategic leader in sharing best practices and adopting a digital-first, customer-oriented market perspective across regions.
  7. Drive Shared Innovation: Use insights and a test & learn approach to increase turnover and identify growth opportunities, always looking ahead to stay competitive.
  8. Cross-Department Communication: Foster effective communication across operations, finance, sales, and marketing to maximize channel effectiveness. Strong teamwork is essential.
  9. Brand Building: Invest in online platforms to enhance brand protection and elevate the company's brands in the UK market.
  10. Partnerships: Work closely with key partners to improve online business opportunities and expand reach.
  11. Communication: Provide clear reporting with measurable metrics to enable continuous improvement, working closely with finance to maximize ROI.

Knowledge and characteristics required include:

  • Degree educated
  • Over 5 years of experience in Ecommerce within a consumer goods business
  • Expertise in Amazon Vendor and Seller Central
  • Experience with Amazon Seller Central, eBay, Shopify, and OnBuy
  • Knowledge of Linnworks & Pacvue is a plus
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to translate data into actions
  • Creative, solutions-oriented, and a team player
  • Highly organized and process-driven, adaptable to change
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel for business meetings
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
