Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD are recruiting an experienced Ecology Team Lead in Birmingham to manage and develop the regional ecology team. The role combines people management, project oversight and client development with senior input on large or complex commissions.

Four-day working week with a full-time salary, opportunity for career progression, and the chance to influence team growth and reporting standards across ecology projects.

Qualifications

• Experience leading ecology teams within UK ecological consultancy.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• CIEEM membership or progression toward chartership.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of ecology professionals within the Birmingham region.
• Oversee workloads, project priorities and resource requirements.
• Support the successful commercial and technical delivery of ecology projects.
• Provide senior project management input across larger or more complex commissions.
• Mentor and support Project Managers and other members of the ecology team.
• Identify recruitment requirements and support the continued growth of the team.
• Maintain and develop relationships with key clients.
• Contribute to new business opportunities and the growth of the regional ecology workload.
• Monitor upcoming projects and ensure appropriate resources are available.
• Work collaboratively with ecology colleagues and specialists across the wider business.
• Help maintain high standards across technical reporting and project delivery.
