Job summary

APEM Ltd. is seeking two Ecologists to join our Oxfordshire team, combining fieldwork with report writing and client liaison. You will lead terrestrial surveys, contribute to GIS outputs, and manage small projects, with opportunities to grow into a Senior Ecologist role over time.

The role offers flexible working options and a supportive environment, with commitment to development and learning across diverse projects in housing, renewables, and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject.
• Qualifying or Associate Membership of CIEEM (or eligibility).
• Good knowledge of UK flora, fauna and natural history.
• Experience with Phase 1/UKHab surveys and protected species work.
• Strong report writing and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support terrestrial ecology surveys (Phase 1, UKHab).
• Contribute to high-quality reports and GIS outputs.
• Liaise with clients and manage small projects.
• Assist with tenders and data analysis.
• Grow toward a Senior Ecologist role within a few years.
