Ecological Consultant – Cardiff (Hybrid)
Environmental Consultancy | Terrestrial Ecology
£27,000 – £32,000 DOE

An innovative, respected consultancy is looking for an Ecological Consultant to join its terrestrial ecology team in Cardiff. This hybrid role offers a dynamic mix of fieldwork, technical reporting, and client interaction.

The Role

You’ll play a key part in delivering and coordinating ecological surveys, producing high-quality reports, and engaging directly with clients and stakeholders. The role includes seasonal travel and diverse project work, perfect for someone who enjoys variety and challenge in their day-to-day.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in ecological consultancy or a similar role

• A relevant degree and solid knowledge of UK wildlife legislation

• Strong report writing skills (e.g. PEAs, PRAs)

• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

• CIEEM membership (or eligibility)

Desirable:

• Protected species licences (e.g. bat, GCN, dormouse)

• Experience leading surveys or managing small projects
