Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Consultant Ecologist in Middlesbrough to deliver a diverse range of ecological projects from site assessments to reporting.

You will undertake habitat and protected species surveys, contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain projects, and prepare high-quality technical reports while supporting clients through the planning process.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Experience in ecological consultancy.
• Experience undertaking ecological and/or protected species surveys.
• Strong technical report-writing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Eligible to work in the UK; living in Middlesbrough or within commuting distance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a diverse range of ecological projects, from initial site assessments to reporting.
• Carry out habitat and protected species surveys and contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain projects.

As a Consultant Ecologist, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse range of ecological projects, from initial site assessments through to reporting and providing specialist advice. You will undertake a variety of habitat and protected species surveys, contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain projects, prepare high-quality technical reports and support clients throughout the planning process.

To be considered for the Consultant Ecologist position, you will need:

• A relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
• Previous experience working within an ecological consultancy

• Strong technical report-writing and communication skills
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Full right to work in the UK
• Living in Middlesbrough or within a reasonable commuting distance
