This investment aims to reduce storm overflows through the UK's largest spill reduction programme, protecting over 500km of rivers and bathing waters in the Northwest during AMP8.

We are looking for an Ecologist experienced in field surveys such as UK Habitat assessment, Biodiversity Net Gain condition assessment, and protected species surveys. Knowledge of wildlife legislation, planning processes, and/or EIA/HRA assessments is also required.

  • Do you want to join a forward-thinking, growing company that supports professional development?
  • Would you like to expand your professional network globally?

What you can offer:
  • A degree in Ecology or a related field.
  • Chartership or relevant experience to attain it.
  • Knowledge of survey guidance and methodologies.
  • At least one protected species survey licence (preferably for bats or great crested newts) or experience in applying for mitigation licences.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and quality checking work.
  • Experience assessing and implementing biodiversity net gain strategies.

What we offer:

A competitive salary based on experience, along with core benefits including:
  • Employer-matched pension up to 7%
  • Flexible annual leave options
  • Insurance options and health screening
