Job summary

Pebble Recruitment are representing a well-established Environmental Consultancy seeking an Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join their Surrey or Kent offices. The role involves protected species surveys, tendering, and producing detailed technical reports, with opportunity for career progression and exposure to diverse projects.

Successful candidates will have 3+ years' industry experience, a relevant ecology degree, and a full UK driving licence; a protected species licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in ecology or related field.
• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management or related field.
• Minimum of 1 protected species licence (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and its application.
• Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking protected species surveys.
• Building tenders and creating complex fee quotations.
• Producing complex technical reports (PEA, BNG, protected species, Habitat Management Plans, BREEAM, HRAs and EcIAs).
• Managing medium to large-sized projects with ability to track financial progress.

Consultant Ecologist

Salary: £27,000 - £43,000

Location: Surrey

Pebble Recruitment are currently representing a well-established Environmental Consultancy, who are actively seeking an ambitious Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join their ever-growing team based in either of their Surrey or Kent offices.
