Job summary

PEBBLE RECRUITMENT LTD in London is seeking a Consultant Ecologist to join our ecology team. You will undertake protected species surveys, assist with tenders and fee quotations, and produce technical reports including PEA, BNG, and protected species assessments.

The role also involves managing small-to-medium projects and supporting larger projects as needed. Hybrid or fully remote working options are available, with a CPD budget and generous holiday and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or related field.
• 3–8 years of industry experience.
• One protected species license (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and its application.
• CIEEM membership preferred.

We are seeking ambitious Ecologists to join our London-based team. The role involves working closely with the ecology team to conduct protected species surveys, develop tenders, produce technical reports, and manage projects.

Ecologist Position Overview

• Undertake protected species surveys
• Assist in building tenders and creating fee quotations
• Produce technical reports (PEA reports, BNG reports, protected species reports, etc.)
• Manage small‑to‑medium sized projects and assist with large projects when needed

Ecologist Position Requirements

• 3–8 years of industry experience
• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related field
• One protected species license (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
• Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and ability to apply correctly
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (preferred)

Ecologist Position Remuneration

• Competitive salary, £27,000–£40,000 depending on experience
