Job summary

Advance Training & Recruitment Services is seeking a Senior Ecological Consultant to join their East Anglia team in Ipswich, offering hybrid working across office, home, and site. You will lead a diverse portfolio of UK projects and take on senior responsibilities, delivering high-quality ecological assessments and managing client relationships.

You will produce EcIA and HRA reports, oversee budgets and programmes, mentor junior ecologists, and progress towards line management as part of a

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology or a related environmental discipline.
• Strong consultancy experience within the UK ecology sector.
• Excellent knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, planning policy, and survey methodologies.
• Experience producing EcIAs, HRAs, and protected species licence applications.
• Protected species licences are highly desirable.
• Full CIEEM membership.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage ecological projects from tender through to completion.
• Produce high-quality technical reports, including Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), HRAs, and EPSL applications.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Ecological Consultant to join their growing East Anglia team. This is an excellent opportunity for an established ecologist looking to take on a senior role with the opportunity to develop into team leadership while delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage ecological projects from tender through to completion.
• Produce high-quality technical reports, including Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRAs), and European Protected Species Licence (EPSL) applications.
• Manage project budgets, programmes, and client relationships.
• Lead field surveys and provide technical guidance to junior ecologists.

• Support business development through tender preparation and client engagement.
