Corporately, the post holder will assist the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority with the delivery of practical works with the delivery of practical works aimed at achieving the conservation and enhancement of the Parks wildlife, natural beauty and cultural heritage. Activities will be aligned with overarching frames of reference such as the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, Nature Recovery Action Plan (national and local), Environmental Governance Act, Sustainable Farming Scheme, Ffermio Bro, 30x30 targets Y Dofodol y Bannau (National Park Management Plan) and its missions.
Functionally, the Ecologist will be guided by the Senior Nature Recovery Officers as part of the Nature Recovery Team. The post holder will assist the Nature Recovery Team in the planning and implementation of ecological conservation initiatives to achieve effective nature recovery, mitigation and restoration of habitats, species, and landscape features within the National Park. Work will be conducted collaboratively with all relevant BBNPA staff and other key stakeholders in achieving this, ensuring that all works are achieved according to the aims, objectives and policies of the BBNPA
Assist the Nature Recovery Team and other key officers to:
