Job summary

A global leader in industrial technologies located in Leicester is looking for a motivated intern for a 6-month internship to support Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) initiatives. The role involves data collection and analysis, modeling products, and calculating carbon footprints based on established methodologies. Ideal candidates should be engineering students with knowledge of LCA methods and a keen interest in sustainable development. This internship offers a chance to be part of forward-looking projects in an innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering school student with specialization in PCF/LCA, sustainable development, or carbon assessment.
• Strong skills in data analysis and good interpersonal skills.
• English reading, writing, speaking - level B1 (CEFR) - Mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Define and collect data for PCFs/LCAs from internal teams and databases.
• Model products following PCF/LCA methodologies.
• Calculate Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) according to GHG Protocol.

Skills

Data analysis

Knowledge of LCA methods (ISO 14040/44)

First experience with LCA software (SimaPro, OpenLCA, Ecochain)

Microsoft Office Suite

Interest in industry and manufacturing processes

Education

Master’s degree in environment/energy/materials
