Job summary

IMC Locums is seeking an experienced echocardiographer to join a cardiology team in Gloucestershire/London for a 3–6 month locum assignment. The role covers TTE, TOE and stress echocardiography with a focus on high-quality diagnostic reporting.

The ideal candidate will have extensive echocardiography experience, BSE accreditation, and proficiency with equipment from Philips, GE or Siemens, along with excellent communication and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• BSE accreditation (or equivalent)
• Significant experience in echocardiography including advanced imaging modalities
• Proficiency with echocardiography equipment from leading manufacturers (Philips/GE/Siemens)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a range of echocardiographic studies (TTE/TOE/stress)
• Produce accurate, timely diagnostic reports to support clinical decisions
• Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, protocols and safety standards
• Supervise and mentor junior staff or trainees when required

Role Overview

IMC Locums are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Echocardiographer to join a dynamic cardiology team in Gloucestershire. This role involves providing expert echocardiographic services, including transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TOE), and stress echocardiography. The ideal candidate will have experience in advanced imaging techniques and be confident in providing high-quality diagnostic reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a range of echocardiographic studies, including TTE, TOE, and stress echocardiography.


• Produce accurate and timely diagnostic reports to support clinical decision-making.


• Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.


• Ensure compliance with relevant clinical guidelines, protocols, and safety standards.


• Supervise and mentor junior staff or trainees when required.

Essential Criteria
