A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work in a brand new purpose-built Community Diagnostic Centre based in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
The Community Diagnostic Hub will have a dedicated cardiorespiratory department performing and reporting on diagnostic tests such as echocardiography, BP and Holter Monitors, and lung function tests.
As a Band 7 Highly Specialized Physiologist, your primary role will be to independently perform and report echocardiograms according to BSE guidelines, providing high-level technical reports to medical teams. You will also act as a senior physiologist supporting other physiologists and cardiographers.
Applicants must have a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, HCPC or RCCP registration (or eligibility), full BSE accreditation (or European equivalent), and demonstrate over 6 months of independent practice.
The Hinckley CDC extends the Cardiac Investigations and Respiratory Departments of UHL, managed from these departments, requiring attendance at UHL sites for training and audits. CPD opportunities will be provided.
The UHL Echo department is BSE accredited; an extension will include the CDC. The echo suite is purpose-built with ergonomic equipment and a full-spec echo machine.
UHL performs over 20,000 cardiac investigations annually, including 15,000 echocardiograms. You will join a team of cardiac physiologists, administrators, and support staff working alongside world-class cardiology consultants.
