Job Description:

This role entails providing expert credit analysis and comprehensive risk management oversight for private capital clients (private equity, private debt, real assets, etc.). Key responsibilities include performing thorough transaction due diligence to ensure the integrity and viability of each deal. Additionally, the role involves determining the risk/return ratio, establishing the limit framework at the client level for standard risk transactions, and assigning and approving credit ratings. You will play a crucial role in independently challenging the business and escalating issues when necessary, making informed decisions and approvals within your authority level.

Your key responsibilities

• Undertaking initial credit due diligence for new structured transactions by meeting with relevant personnel at the fund manager.
• Reviewing and approving ancillary transaction requests, including FX hedging and deal contingent trades.
• Playing a key role in legal documentation to ensure appropriate credit covenants are included.
• Maintaining ongoing dialogue with clients, preparing annual credit reviews and reports.
• Managing risk and exposures within your portfolio using credit risk management systems.
• Collaborating with the Collateral Management team to resolve margin or collateral issues.
• Staying informed about market developments affecting the private capital sector.

Your skills and experience

• Experience managing credit risk, preferably with structured credit transactions.
• Knowledge of the private capital sector and associated risks.
• Product knowledge of major derivatives and understanding their risk characteristics.
• Understanding of facility agreements and master trading documentation, especially ISDA.
