A leading wine distributor in the UK is seeking an apprentice for a two-year program. This unique opportunity involves working across various departments while studying for the WSET Diploma Level 4. The role includes responsibilities in Customer Services, Brand Management, and participating in vintages in both hemispheres. Ideal candidates should have a passion for wine, strong communication skills, and be studying for or hold a WSET Level 3 qualification.
Their Apprenticeship is a diverse and challenging two-year programme, which comprises of working across, and within, all aspects of one of the UK’s leading wine distributors. Since its launch in 2007, they have seen a phenomenal response to the scheme and some outstanding candidates that have built longstanding careers.
They are delighted to open recruitment for their 20thapprentice. Unique in the industry, their programme offers a detailed yet wide-ranging experience of many departments, as well as sponsoring the WSET Diploma Level 4 and funding two vintages in the northern and southern hemispheres.
The new apprentice will have some knowledge and experience of the wine trade, received a WSET Level 3 qualification (or in the process of studying), and be able to demonstrate the potential to thrive with them long term.
Key Responsibilities
The programme runs for two years, during which time the candidate will study for WSET Diploma by block release, sponsored by their organisation. The apprenticeship includes placements such as Customer Services, Brand Management, Events, Marketing, Sales and Operations.
There is a month in the Northern hemisphere helping with a vintage during the first year, two months’ vintage in the Southern hemisphere during the second year, followed by an exciting project which brings the apprenticeship to a close.
