Position: Senior Trade Finance Analyst

The role involves resolving Letters of Credit (LC) matters, maintaining banking relationships, and supporting various Treasury activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with parties to resolve LC issues
• Negotiate LC formats, terms, and conditions
• Verify LC terms against UCP/ISP standards
• Arrange trade finance documentation including loans, discounting, and refinancing
• Maintain banking relationships and negotiate facilities
• Issue bank guarantees, bid, and performance bonds
• Prepare invoices and payment documentation
• Process cargo and other payments
• Assist in setting up new finance structures and negotiate financing
• Implement and maintain trade finance policies, including Power and Gas activities
• Support other treasury functions

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• Degree in Shipping, Trade Finance, Banking, or related field
• CDCS qualification is advantageous
• Relevant trade finance experience in trading or financial institutions
• Strong knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP 2013, ISP 98, ICC 522
• Understanding of trade finance products, mechanisms, and risks
• Knowledge of trade processing and operations
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance
• European banking process knowledge preferred
• Analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in spreadsheets and modeling
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Experience in process improvement and adaptability
• Self-motivated, proactive, and ability to meet tight deadlines
