Job Title: Trade Finance Business Analyst

Location: London - Hybrid working 3 days per week onsite

Contract Details: 6 Months initially, Full Time

About Our Client:

Our client is a leading organisation in the energy industry, seeking a Trade Finance Business Analyst for their Finance Transformation Project. Prior experience in trade finance processes and reporting is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Manage stakeholders during discovery phases for new projects and change requests
• Lead daily project tasks to ensure timely delivery
• Identify, communicate risks, impacts, and mitigation strategies
• Work within tight deadlines and adapt to evolving requirements
• Maintain up-to-date product and business artefacts
• Document user requirements, logic flows, design, and backlog items
• Translate complex processes into step-by-step logic flows for automation
• Collaborate with Finance, Credit Risk, and Treasury teams to prioritize key deliverables
• Extensive experience with trade finance, credit, and risk products such as letters of credit, parent company guarantees, and documentary collections
• Understanding of trade finance lifecycle and systems (e.g., SWIFT)
• Knowledge of SDLC and integration technologies
• Familiarity with commodities and energy trading
• Strong analysis and project management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with data sourcing, analysis, and transformation
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Previous energy industry experience
