Fourblue is partnering with a growing UK consultancy to recruit a Head of Energy & Sustainability to establish and lead a newly created team. This strategic role reflects the company's continued expansion and ambition to provide expert Energy & Sustainability services across infrastructure and development projects nationwide.

Reporting directly to the board, you will be responsible for building a high-performing team and delivering technical excellence across areas such as energy strategy, carbon management, ESG, and net zero planning.

The Role

• Set up and lead the consultancy's Energy & Sustainability team
• Shape and deliver services across net zero, carbon reduction, ESG strategy, and energy planning
• Recruit, mentor and manage a growing team of consultants
• Oversee project delivery, workflow management, and quality control
• Act as primary client contact, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service delivery
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align team goals with company strategy

About You

• Significant experience in energy and sustainability for planning and infrastructure projects
• Strong technical expertise in carbon, ESG, energy strategy, and net zero frameworks
• Proven track record in a senior consultancy or leadership role
• Skilled in people management, team building, and project oversight
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Organised, proactive, and commercially aware with a collaborative mindset
