Senior Data Scientist (GenAI) required for a London-based, globally known software business with hybrid working arrangements.
I am collaborating with a large global software organization to join their London team, focusing on developing innovative products and services in a dynamic environment.

The organization has been established for over 20 years, employing more than 1,000 staff. It specializes in online sales and is a large-scale tech company with offices in London and Scotland. They continue to grow and innovate.
Known as one of Scotland's leading tech firms, they foster a positive, welcoming culture, making it a highly desirable workplace. They operate on a hybrid model, requiring employees to be in the London office twice a week, with flexible days.
You will be part of a team of 7 engineers and scientists, working together to ensure the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of solutions in live environments.
The role:
Your responsibilities include utilizing advanced technologies such as GenAI and recommender systems to enhance travel discovery platforms.
You will lead high-impact projects with an experimental approach, covering the full data science lifecycle—from problem definition and data exploration to model development and evaluation. Collaboration with engineering teams will be essential to deploy, monitor, and scale solutions effectively.
You will develop and implement Generative AI and recommender system solutions to improve travel content and user experiences, researching LLMs, multimodal models, and content-based filtering for personalization. You will also design evaluation frameworks to ensure content quality and relevance.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be vital to integrate AI solutions into the Explore platform, optimize models for content discovery, and support deployment and maintenance of machine learning models in production. Staying current with AI advancements and experimenting with new methodologies will be part of your role.

This role offers a competitive salary of up to £95,000 (depending on experience and skills), with hybrid working (2 days per week in the office). Employee benefits include various bonuses.
