Job description

New urgent role for a Project Manager to run a new build industrial project valued around GBP20m.

Applicants must have a strong background delivering similar projects from early groundworks through to steel frame erection and commercial fit out.

This will be a long term freelance role for a tier 2 main contractor, interviews shall take place immediately with a view to start asap.

Duties:

* Leading all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design to final handover.
* Managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively and efficiently.
* Overseeing a team of contractors and subcontractors, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring clear communication.
* Ensuring strict adherence to all relevant building regulations, health and safety guidelines, and quality control procedures.
* Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure the project remains on track.
* Regularly reporting on progress to senior management, providing transparent and accurate updates.
* Working collaboratively with the design team and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Project Manager on new-build industrial projects, ideally with a Tier 2 main contractor.
* A strong understanding of construction methodologies, technical specifications, and relevant building regulations.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
* A commitment to safety and compliance, ensuring a safe working environment for all site personnel.
