IT Architect - Inside IR35 - Up to £640 per day - Farnborough - BPSS (leading to SC) - 6 Months - ONSITE - TWO STAGE INTERVIEW

Yolk Recruitment is recruiting for an IT Architect to work a 6-month contract with our client within the defence sector, onsite in Farnborough.

Do you have experience working in an Engineering & Manufacturing environment and with related toolsets? You will use your expertise to set the vision and define the strategy for building and maintaining Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.

Reporting To:

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will design, develop, and maintain the IT systems architecture to meet business requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Translate business strategy and requirements into architectural solutions.
2. Contribute to the strategic direction of technology investments.
3. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to design integrated solutions.
4. Recommend suitable technology options aligned with business capabilities.
5. Design PLM solutions that integrate with tools such as SAP.
6. Ensure designs meet accreditation and security standards.
7. Plan, design, and integrate IT system components including hardware, software, and services.
8. Assess and oversee subcontractors for IT projects.
9. Work with Project Managers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality project delivery.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
2. Experience in an IT architecture role.
3. Experience with process and assembly manufacturing.
4. Experience with PLM applications is preferred.
5. Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
6. Knowledge of network technologies such as CISCO, Juniper, Vocality (Desirable).
7. Experience with MS Server and Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) (Desirable).
8. Awareness of current and emerging technologies and their applications.
