Position Overview:
Interdependence is seeking a strategic and hands-on Fractional Senior Director or Vice President of Social Media to lead organic content programs and support integrated campaigns for our diverse client roster. This is a part-time, contract position (20 hours per week), with a preferred working window of 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday. The role is ideal for a senior-level digital leader who excels in organic social media strategy, while also bringing experience in paid social integration. This opportunity has potential for full-time placement based on performance and agency growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of organic social media strategies across multiple client accounts.
- Provide senior-level guidance on content development, channel planning, publishing, community management, and measurement.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure seamless integration of organic and paid social tactics.
- Serve as a strategic partner to clients, providing proactive counsel and insight on platform evolution, trends, and audience behavior.
- Oversee and mentor social media team members to ensure consistent delivery of best-in-class work.
- Liaise with creative, strategy, and paid media leads to deliver fully integrated campaigns.
- Track performance against KPIs, delivering insights and recommendations based on platform analytics.
- Support new business initiatives with social media POVs, audits, and proposal contributions.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in social media marketing, with an emphasis on organic content strategy.
- Experience working within a PR, digital, or integrated marketing agency.
- Proven leadership of successful social media programs for B2C or B2B brands.
- Knowledge of paid social media planning and platform capabilities (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) with ability to consult on integrated strategies.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with major social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Meta Business Suite).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
