Join us at Barclays as a Vice President in the Climate Portfolio Management team within Sustainable Finance. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing traditional data used by the bank to make financial decisions through the lens of climate sustainability. Considering regulatory, commercial, and sustainability goals, you will deliver and communicate clear strategic insights that can be utilized by the business across various deal cycles. This includes working with senior leaders to understand requirements and assess data from multiple sources to achieve business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze data related to climate sustainability using technical skills, including Python.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver insights.
3. Support the management of the bank's lending portfolio to maximize return on equity.
4. Evaluate client needs and support structuring and negotiating terms for capital commitments.
5. Monitor credits and structure amendments as needed.
6. Manage loan sales and hedging trade recommendations.
7. Contribute to strategic planning, resource management, and policy development.
8. Lead or support teams, guiding technical direction and mentoring less experienced staff.
9. Advise stakeholders on functional and strategic issues, manage risks, and promote strong controls.
10. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
11. Demonstrate leadership behaviors aligned with Barclays' values and mindset.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience using Python for data analysis.
• Experience working with large data sets and data architecture.
• Understanding of business requirements and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of investment banking products or experience.
• Interest or understanding of sustainability in finance.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Understanding of professional ethics and regulatory environment.
