Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Start your career within NOV and join us as an Apprentice CNC Machinist.

You will use your existing mathematical and technical knowledge as a foundation to build and develop skills critical to becoming a well-trained, experienced, and key member of our Glenrothes manufacturing team. As an NOV Apprentice, you will develop a strong understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC Turning, CNC Milling, CNC Horizontal Boring, and CNC Programming. You will become part of a global business that has the people capabilities and vision to serve the needs of a challenging Energy sector.

Your hands-on academic training plan is where learning and development really begins. You will take part in a 4-year training plan where NOV will monitor your progress, supporting and guiding you to become a successful and first-class CNC Machinist.

Main duties/Responsibilities:

1. Learn the skills required from highly experienced and motivated mentors
2. Attend college as required
3. Complete all logbooks and assessments in a timely manner
4. Report any environmental or health and safety issues that arise
5. Assist colleagues as required
6. Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and company policies
7. Follow all 5S and LEAN principles within a manufacturing environment

What you'll need:

The successful candidate must have a minimum of three National 5 level qualifications at grade C or above, with two of these qualifications in English and Maths.
